Can I use Urbino if I don't offer memberships?

Of course. Memberships are just one of the tools in the box — plenty of studios use Urbino only for classes, courses, or workshops. The Solo teacher plan is built for exactly that, and if you start offering memberships later you can switch them on without changing anything else.

What payment methods do you support?

Accepted Answer

Everything is paid through Stripe, straight into your own Stripe account, so it all lands in one place. Class and course bookings are one-off payments at checkout — cards everywhere, plus local methods like iDEAL for euro-area studios. Memberships run as recurring subscriptions: paid by card, or by iDEAL for the first payment with renewals collected automatically by SEPA Direct Debit. One-off purchases like materials and kiln hire go through the same checkout. We take no commission on any of it.

How much does Urbino cost? Do you take a cut of my sales?

You pay one flat monthly fee sized to your studio, starting at €20 a month, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial — no card required. We take no commission on your classes, memberships, or sales: what your customers pay is yours, minus only Stripe's standard payment processing fee, which we pass through at cost.

Do I need my own Stripe account?

You'll have one, but there's nothing to set up in advance — we create it when you open your studio and walk you through connecting it from your dashboard. Payments from your customers go directly to your account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on a rolling schedule.

What happens when a class sells out?

A waiting list opens automatically. When someone cancels or you add spots, the people waiting are emailed with a link to book — no spreadsheets, no chasing.

Can people book classes from my own website?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Urbino gives you a booking widget you can drop into your own site, so visitors can book a class right there without being sent somewhere else.

Can I meet new members before they pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. By default, joining your studio starts with a short application rather than a payment. You review it, and only people you accept get a link to complete their signup. If you'd rather let anyone join instantly, you can turn approval off.

Can other teachers run classes at my studio?

Accepted Answer

Yes — invite them by email from your dashboard. A teacher can be assigned to classes, see the studio calendar, and manage classwork for the classes they teach, while creating and pricing classes stays with you.

Question 9

What if someone cancels their booking?

Accepted Answer

You set a cancellation window for your studio, in days. Bookings cancelled inside that window are refunded automatically and the freed-up spot goes back on sale — with the waiting list notified if there is one.

Question 10

Is Urbino only for pottery studios?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Urbino is for every kind of hands-on creative studio — ceramics, weaving, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, leather, and more. Pottery studios get some extra tooling like managed kiln hire, and more studio-type-specific tools are on the way.

I already run my studio on another system — how hard is it to move?

Not hard at all: setup takes about ten minutes, and we'll help you bring your existing data across. If you get stuck at any point, we're on WhatsApp seven days a week.
